plot line: Some complete A-hole berates his wife for the quality of her coffee. I mean, really yells at her until she wants to cry. Then a neighbor/friend/family member/shopkeep steps into recommend Folgers. The lady makes Folgers, which comes out perfect no matter what, and she is once again accepted by her husband. They kiss and make up. His violent tendencies are forgotten. You see, men were not allowed to make coffee in the 60's. If you keep that in mind, these commercials make more sense. He was cranky because he needed caffeine, but couldn't get it unless a woman made good coffee for him. I'm giving 5 stars for the whole series :)

the years, and there really isn't much difference. If your coffee sucks, changing the brand really won't help. Of course, this undermines the whole reason for commercials.

good idea. It sure isn't! Who makes coffee to compliment steak? It's her AWFUL coffee that's the trouble here, soon she turns to Mrs Olsen who says "It's a good thing I didn't come empty handed!" and lugs out a can of Folgers! See! Even Mrs Olsen agrees with the husband if she's forced to lug big cans of coffee around LOL
